The regulatory reform ( Fire Safety ) ORDER 2005 comes into effect on the 1st of Oct 2006 and applies to all workplaces in England & Wales.
The order places the responsibility on the employer or responsible person for that premises or building.
The responsible person will be required to conduct a risk assessment of the building
and take steps to reduce or eliminate any fire risk.
